PORA: Supporting Patients with Chronic Illnesses in Ukraine

PORA, spearheaded by one of the nation’s largest patient organizations, the Charitable Foundation “Patients of Ukraine,” is dedicated to supporting Ukrainian patients suffering from rare, chronic, and life-threatening diseases that require ongoing medical treatment amidst the war.

Mission: Ensure treatment is accessible to everyone.

Areas of Activity: PORA focuses on raising awareness and securing involvement from government and non-government organizations, foundations, businesses, and medical professional associations to address the challenges faced by Ukrainians with chronic illnesses. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Charitable Foundation “Patients of Ukraine” has developed a monitoring and analytics tool. This tool continuously analyzes a vast array of data regarding hospital procurements and supplies from manufacturers, helping to identify current and predict future shortages of essential treatments.
